Take heed, all brothers and sisters of Metal, take heed! Come nearer, gather round the oaken table and have a seat here. Everyone feeling comfortable? Good, so I can begin. I now tell you a sad little story:
Once there was a band, a great band of true metal! Better than METALLICA ever were, better than ANNIHILATOR ever will be, maybe even better than ICED EARTH & Co. But nobody noticed it! The band released it's debut in 1988 and called it "Terror & Submission". The cover was good but misleading, was more fitting for a Thrash Metal band. But if anyone really listend to the record, he would have noticed that HOLY TERROR played fantastic Melodic Speed Metal like AGENT STEEL, AMULANCE or maybe SAVAGE GRACE. And they were just as good if not better than these bands! Kurt Kilfelt came from AGENT STEEL and he took his rage & his indescribable talent and forged a hot piece of firey Steel that leaves AGENT STEEL's second LP miles behind!!! The music reminds a lot on the agents of steel, it's just a bit harder though. The vocals of Keith Deen are powerful without end yet very melodic. His screams remind me on Eric Adams every time, a perfect metal shouter!!! Best tracks are the devastating >Blood of the Saints< that will drive you insane, the speedhymn and titletrack >Terror & Submission< and >Guardians of the Netherworld< with it's megamelodic chorus, eternal masterpieces every one!!! All other songs are also great, so if you are one of the ignorants who do not know this LP by now, change this unbearable condition!!!
The second LP came out in late 1988 and is also highly recommend by this guy typing down all that shit here. It is still easy and cheap to get and features fantastic tracks as >Debt of Pain< (an adaption of AGENT STEEL's >Back to Reign<), >Christian Resistance< ("...None withstanding keep christian resistance - all are martyred in their minds to all - troopers of the baptism must fight - IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST WE MASSACAAAAAAAAA..."), >No Resurrection< or >The Immortal Wasteland< (reminding on >Guardians...< from the debut). HOLY TERROR deserved to grow huge, but well life is never fair (like COLD STEEL teached us some years ago. As if we didn't know anyway...). The least you can do is get the LP asap and submit to HOLY TERROR as I do since I heard 'em first...
