Most of you may know the band because of Harry The Tyrant of JAG PANZER, TITAN FORCE who was the vocalist of SATAN'S HOST. The album is rare as hell (he he) on vinyl but is more than worth searching for it, if needed all of your life! The LP has a fantastic cover, an innersleeve with lyrics and very atmospheric black/white paintings and is available in red (Limited edition 500 copies, bootlegged but also very rare, Matrix of Original is WEB001), black and clear (bootleg only) vinyl!! Now to the most important about "Metal from Hell": The music! It is great evil dark Power Metal, better than ANY of your US favorites! The lyrics are real satanic evil, not just little stories as many Black Metal bands use it today, this record is really breeding true evil and you can feel the dark passion during the whole record! The compositions are far above 99,99 % of the rest, just listen to the epic >Hell Fire<: Beginning with great melody-lines it is decending the stairs of doom to a tension filled tranquil part that is increasing again every second and than explods into a speed metal part that would even blow the horns from the head of the devil himself! Just as good is the psychotic >King of Terror< that playes football with your brain or the unsurpassable Power Metal Anthem >Black Stele<!! There is not even one only great song on this album, everyone must be considered to be a true classic! The only thing that is negative about this album is the very poor sound quality. But who cares! If the music holds such a high level it really doesn't matter... By the way: There also exists a second album called "Midnight Winds" which sadly was never released. Only chance to get it is by tapetrading. It's also GREAT, but the sound is even poorer. Tracks as >The wicked shall return<, >Midnight Wind< or some others (have no titles, sorry) are also immortal classics! Today Satan Patrick Evil (The brain & soul behind S.H.) is still playing metal in a band called NIGHTSIDE OF EDEN. I have not heard 'em sadly, if anyone can help: GET IN TOUCH!
