DEATH TO... FALSE RECORDS ???
In this section we want to collect and release informations about Bootlegs. But not about some live-bootlegs, we want to look closer to RARE RECORDS that have been bootlegged on vinyl. We will tell you how to identify if you are offered the original or not when you see some of these records in sales-lists anywhere. Or which pressing you already have in your collection ;-)
This infos should help you prevent being cheated and asked to much money for non-original stuff.

 

 WATCHTOWER - ENERGETIC DISSASSEMBLY LP
Zombo 1985 / Canada

Distinctive Mark:
1) Original has the lyrics printed on the innerbag, the Bootleg has an extra lyric sheet enclosed!
2) Matrix-number (etched in the vinyl near the label) of Original is WT-001, Bootleg has the number 521404738 etched
3) Original has a thicker and more shiny cover, backcover writings are more sharp.

Value:
 Actual price around 70 - 80 Euro for the original, bootleg circa half of that.

SATANS HOST - METAL FROM HELL LP
Web 1986 / USA

Distinctive Mark:
 [Released on BLACK (not bootlegged), RED (Orig. + Boot) and CLEAR VINYL (Boot only)]
1) Matrix-number of the original is WEB001/ Bootlegs have SH etched as Matrix
2) Cover of original is thicker and dull, not sparking as the bootleg

Value:
Original sells for 150 Euro on Black Vinyl, Original Red Vinyl never seen offered!!
Bootlegs sell for 75 Euro (clear vinyl) or 125 Euro (rare red vinyl).

MILITIA - THE SYBLING 12"
Scythe 1985 / USA

Distinctive Mark:
1) Original was on 12inch and the bootleg is on 7inch.

Value:
Original with it's 100 copies made is one of the most expensive Heavy Metal Rarities, actual price around 1500 Euro!! So we can be glad this bootleg exists! You can have the same music on Single-Format for around 40 Euro.
