New Jersey's unique Power Metal Band that released a vinyl EP in 1987 that only die-hard collector's have known until last year. But now, after more than a decade, the OVERLORDE is back and ready to conquer: so saddle your horse of steel, raise your sword and join the army of supreme Power Metal with OVERLORDE riding at it's head. ALL HAIL, OVERLORDE!!! TAKE US AWAY!!!

1) Which year you got infected with the METAL-virus and what was the release?
Well, the first REAL metal album that got me was probably Iron Maiden's "Piece of Mind", then Judas Priest's "British Steel"

2) With what age did you start singing/playing an instrument and what was the reason to do so?
I started playing drums in 1977. I was a HUGE KISS fan, and of course…I wanted to be Peter Criss.

3) Tell us your five all time-favorite records!
That's pretty hard…but I'll try…..and this IS NOT in any order….
1) Halford - Live Insurrection
2) Iron Maiden - Powerslave
3) Kiss - Alive!
4) Van Halen - 1984
5) Journey - Escape

4) Tell us the three last records/CDs you bought, that really thrilled you!
INFINITE by Stratovarious , Halford RESURRECTION and LIVE INSURRECTION - those are the 3 most recent.

5) Please give us a discography of all bands you played with and all releases and about how many copies each title were sold!
Ok…here goes… OVERLORDE - Self-titled E.P. on Strike Zone Records, and the new OVERLORDE 2000 demo. The only other band that I was with, that actually "released" something was a band called "PERSIA". We released three CD's, and one was released under another name. That band name was "ATELLO". The first CD was self-titled, the second was named "NO COMPROMISE", and the third, was called "THE BIG PAYOFF", again, that one was released under the "ATELLO" name. With regard to the amount of CD's sold? It's hard to say, because they've been selling for years, and I personally do not have an accurate count.

6) Looking back: Which of your releases do you like the most and why?
That would have to be the Overlorde E.P. and demo; Persia's "No Compromise", and Atello's "The Big Payoff". They just best represent my playing, and sound real cool.

7) And which the least/why?
I like them all…just the above mentioned one's better.

8) Did your band (any of your bands) record songs that have never been released? Please give us the song-titles and a short description!
Sure. Persia recorded several songs, that were to be released, but they just never made it to the public.

9) What was the highlight of your career?
That would have to be all the times being on stage opening for some cool national acts. I've opened for bands like Heaven's Edge, Warrant, Kix, Peter Criss and Don Dokken.

10) Tell us a funny story around your band from the past!
Well…there was this one time when Persia was performing in front of a hundred or so people, and 60% of them were younger kids. My guitarist at the time always wore these rhinestone studded spandex pants. He was in the middle of a guitar solo in one of the songs, and he was standing on the front edge of the stage. Tons of screaming girls were right there, no more than 6-12 inches from him. He moved his leg a certain way, and his pants ripped from the crotch, all the way down to his ankle. Needless to say, he wasn't wearing any underwear, and his "manhood" ended up falling out and started swinging back and forth (yes, he was able to do that), the girls up front almost passed out. So he ran off the stage and had one of our roadies help him on
with a new pair of pants, all the long, continuing with the song.

11) Are you a metal-collector?
No, not really. If I see or hear something that sounds cool…I'll buy it. But I really don't "collect" anything.

12) What indescribable great question have you never been asked yet? And what would your answer have been?
Not sure…I've never been asked such a question yet…so until I am asked, I have no idea what my answer would be!

13) What is the current status of the band and what is planned next?
Overlorde is doing really well. We'll be playing the Powermad 5 Metal Festival in August, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, we are currently shopping around for a label deal, and we continue to play and write. The overall objective is "WORLD DOMINATION"!!

Any last words?:
I'd just like to say thanks for showing an interest in the band, and hope that everyone out there will continue to support OVERLORDE!
