MORTAL
SIN: "Mayhemic Destruction" LP Rarity: |

The Curse (Instr.) |
Founded back in 1985 in Parramatta
MORTAL SIN released their debut on their own label 2 years later in 1987,
lyrics-sheet included. They played classic Power/Thrash Metal, often compared
with early METALLICA but they had kind of a unique style. It was technically
not so brilliant as old METALLICA, also the vocals are a little higher.
But nevertheless any fans of (OLD) Ulrich & Co. will be happy with "Mayhemic
Destruction". Tracks as >Lebanon< ("...the muslims and
the christians are fighting for their rights - take the war of Lebanon to
masochistic heights..."), >Blood, Death, Hatred< or >Liar<,
a straight Power Metal track with acoustic beginning, are classic tunes
of Steel. According to the good reviews "Mayhemic Destruction"
earned it was licensed by Phonogram and released again with a something
different cover. The Phonogram pressing is relative easy to find, so keep
your eyes open! If you want to have the original pressing it will be a 1.000
times harder to get. It never comes up today. There also exists a CD-bootleg
(Reborn Classics), about an official CD-release I do not know. After "Mayhemic Destruction" MORTAL SIN released several LPs ("Face of despair" 1989, "Every dog has it's day" 1991 and more) but they could not reach the high level of "M.D." again. |
