Itīs just a 5 Track EP, but nevertheless itīs one of my absolutly favourite records of all times!! These guys came from Canada, but you know, all Bands from Canada sound very US Metal like, and so did they!! Not really hard, not really fast, but well, purest HEAVY METAL, with also some NWOBHM Influences! The Titelsong is one of the most awesomeīs tracks Iīve ever heard! Itīs a Killerhymn which canīt be written twice!! For sure all the other Songs are also brainfucking great!! "Riders of Doom" is a 6 Minute devastation, "Cry Wolf" comes along with a very epical touch, straight in the tradition of OMEN, "Beg for mercy" is more a rocker Song which could have also been on the first Iron Maiden record! The last Track on this awesome EP is called "Penance for past sins", begins like a ballad but after a minute it turns into a real Metalhell! I donīt know exactly what happened to WITCHKILLER after this glorious EP, but Iīve heard they changed their sound into Poser Rock or something like that!! By the way, lots of people already listened to the Song "Day of the Saxons" without knowing that itīs written by WITHCKILLER! Mighty US Metal Crusaders OCTOBER 31 made a great Cover of it on their "The fire awaits you" record!! If youīre into true fuckinī US Metal, then you canīt escape from the mighty WITCHKILLER!
