Hard Power Metal with an edge of Thrash is what KAT offer us. One of the oldest bands from Poland, already a legend in their homecountry, but outside of Poland KAT is mainly unknown and their records nearly never come up. Is this a loss? Hell yes, it fucking is!!! KAT is a great Power Metal band that will make your speakers explode! Technically brilliant, very good songmaterial, a hard but melodic singer, what more can you ask for? The highlight in KATs history is "Oddech Wymarlych Swiatow" (means: "The extinct breath of the world") as agreed by all who heard it. Trax as >Mag - Sex<or >Diabelski dom Cz.II< should please all fans of pure hard Power Metal.
As you may have seen KAT write their songs in polish language, so I don't know what they are singing about, but in every way the music kills!
KAT's earlier releases are also great metal as "666" (1986), "Metal and Hell" (1987 - english version of "666") and "38 minutes of live". The later releases (all CD-only) are more Thrash than Power Metal, also good but not as great as the other mentioned records.
In germany KAT has grown popular and much sought after in the underground through reviews/articles in "Heavy Metal aus Osteuropa" (Book by Stefan Riermaier & Roland Silberhorn) and in the incomparalbe, great "Heavy Metal Lexikon" by Matthias Herr (RULEZ!!!).
