Torture were hailing from New Mexico [US], their debut record was released on a mexican (!) label only. Unfortunately I can not remember any Interview with these crazy bastards, if there are any, I am sure they are very entertaining! On their debut EP "Terror Kingdom" (comes with lyric-sheet) TORTURE played a blend between Power and Thrash Metal. The record begins with a thrilling intro. And then the nightmare begins: >Into the Darkness< is heavy Power/Thrash Metal with evil yet melodic (of course not melodic in the vain of this neo-metal-crap without balls, ya know what I mean) vocals, a real good track! After this comes an instrumental with highspeed duelling guitars. You nearly can see the >Whips of the Antichrist< before your very eyes. Next one is called >Power Metal< and this says it all. Evil and dark, great classic lyrics that you will love (with demonic voice spoken at the end of the track: "Watch you posers fry - fry in hell you posers!!"). Not just lyrically TORTURE remind me of my beloved COVEN ("Blessed is the black"-era), only the mexicans are even more brutal and technically more experienced. The EP is closed by the title-track, my favorite on this record! A more than 8 min. lasting Thrash Metal assault that needs to be heard! The only negativ thing about this record is that it is more than hard to find, in europe nearly impossible. Surely not many copies made their way to the "old continent"...
The track >Terror Kingdom< is also included on TORTURE's first (and sadly only) full-length album "Storm Alert". Even heavier and faster is this record a must for all you Thrashers out there, it has been released on LP and CD (Metalcore) and is not so difficult to find, not many seem to honor the great music TORTURE created.
