It is reasonable, even if you have no recognition about this awful riff-monster, SPELLBOUND from far East island called Japan. Actually, activities of many Japanese bands were almost domestic from beginning to end, so I think that circulation of their records towards overseas is very rare! This EP as their only effort is also one of such things and is highly recommended, but overlooked by many fans even in Japan. It's good? Yeah, it's surely good! But it is hard to find also in Japan now, and is out of print as well(but not so high priced I suppose)!! The attack of powerful and rapid-firing Power Metal is unfolded to crush all poser's brain down!!!! Their performance is tight and driving hard, recording quality is above average, the singer's voice makes us remember Algy Ward of TANK, guitar-riffs are sharp as a razor and tear weak souls apart, and superb lead guitar plays capture all METAL-HEAD like a magic!!!! "Wishing for Death" is just a poserkilling opener running ruthlessly!! Following "Crawling Worms" attacks with an eerie atmosphere as its title expresses!! "Such Is Life" is just a murderer featuring wimpshredding guitar-riff, and the guitar solo with a wonderful melody is sheer magic!!!! And title track as the closer runs fast and unstoppable towards "Escape" with pounding rhythms!!!! If you prefer fast and powerful Power Metal and collect unknown stuff, you should have this one!!!!
